**The Experience . . .
The day begins at 10:00am with a 1 hour 45 minute workshop led by BCP Director of Education, Michaela Murphy, at Lambertville Hall. The workshop will introduce participants to the world of the play, Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Playhouse Christmas Show, as designed by BCP professional theater artists. Throughout the workshop, “Scene-Stealers” will get the chance to explore the play’s major themes of introspection and redemption through theater games, improvisation and interactive exercises. At this time “Scene-Stealers” will also learn their blocking and several Christmas Carols ahead of their main stage rehearsal that will take place later that afternoon. The workshop leads up to their stage debut in the matinee performance of BCP’s Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Playhouse Christmas Show. During their matinee performance “Scene-Stealers” will be featured in two scenes as members of the play’s roaming caroling group, “The Sons of Pitches.”

Following the workshop, a complimentary box lunch will be served at The Ferry Market in New Hope.

After lunch, “Scene-Stealers” will make their way over to Bucks County Playhouse to receive a backstage tour, be fitted into costumes and moved into their dressing rooms.

At call-time (around 1:15pm) all actors, “Scene-Stealers” and cast members alike, will meet on the Playhouse stage to rehearse both of the scenes featuring “The Sons of Pitches.” “Scene-Stealers” will now have the opportunity to rehearse the blocking learned earlier in the day as well as all of their exits, entrances and the company curtain call.

Thirty minutes before the show all company members will return to their dressing rooms to prepare for the performance.

During the show, “Scene-Stealers” will be guided by a production assistant to their places backstage and cued for all of their entrances.

Following curtain call, “Scene-Stealers” will lead audience members into the Courtyard to sing Christmas Carols as “The Sons of Pitches.”

(**Members of the 2017 BCP Youth Company will act as your mentors throughout the day. As seasoned actors familiar to the BCP main stage, they will be able to assist “Scene-Stealers” as necessary, as well as lead workshops and rehearsals when appropriate.)
