The Steadfast Tin Soldier is a true-blue hero in every sense of the word. He is honest, caring and strong of character. He believes in helping others, and even though he has a disability, acts on his belief as best he can. This soldier is the main character of a heartwarming puppet theater production by Robert Rogers.

About Robert Rogers

Besides performing this play, Robert built and designed everything in it, adapted the story and composed the accompanying musical score. Over the last 36 years, he has created and performed a wide-ranging repertoire of original plays, concert pieces and adaptations of classic stories, entertaining audiences of all ages. He has also taught puppet-making and performing workshops in schools, helping students explore social issues and academic subjects drawn from the curriculum. As a multi-talented designer, playwright, composer and performer, he has amassed a collection of hundreds of puppets, props and scene pieces – many of which find themselves in new productions for ever increasing audiences.

Robert has performed across the United States and appeared internationally in Tunisia, the Czech Republic, Taiwan, The Peoples Republic of China, Colombia and Canada. His mission is to inspire creativity in young people, to maintain their innate sense of wonder, to foster positive thinking, and help them develop a better understanding of the world around them.
