2021 Playhouse Youth Company

WHAT: An original theater piece: featuring songs, dances, & stories from the 2021 BCP Youth Company

SEEKING: Performers ages 13-18 years old

WHEN: Auditions will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021:
11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
1:30 – 3:30 PM
4:00 – 5:30 PM

Callbacks, by invitation only, will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

WHERE: Lambertville Hall, 57 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (for in-person auditions)

APPOINTMENT: Auditions are either in person or through video-submission (your choice). An appointment must be made to secure an audition for both in-person and video submissions.  Please contact Kelly Wilson: kelly@bcptheater.org

(deadline for submissions is Friday, May 21, 2021)

PREPARE: 16 bars of a ballad or 16 bars of an up-tempo song of your choice and one 3 minute-monologue of your choice (comic or dramatic). Actors must provide their own sheet music and a photo of themselves (need not be a professional photo). Resumes are not required, but actors may bring them.

PROGRAM DATES: The program runs June 26th-July 25th (July 2-5 off).  Typically, we rehearse Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm.

ABOUT THE PLAYHOUSE YOUTH COMPANY

Now in its 7th year, Playhouse Youth Company is a 5-week intensive training program for students with a serious interest in theater to receive valuable theatrical instruction from working Broadway artists. Bucks County Playhouse’s rigorous training program includes daily rehearsals for a professionally produced production; master classes with artists from the Playhouse’s main stage; and outreach performances throughout the region. In 2019, Playhouse Youth Company performed for more than 3,100 people on the Playhouse mainstage and in outreach performances at local libraries, museums, and festivals.
