October 5, 2019 – November 16, 2019
(No Class November 9)
Saturdays • 11:00AM – 12:00PM

If you are no stranger to tap shoes, time steps, and the Shim-Sham but are not necessarily ready for 42nd Street, then this class is for you. This 6-week course begins with a brief review of beginner basics and fundamentals, progressing onto intermediate tap steps and advanced versions of the tap basics including traveling time-steps, syncopated rhythms, fancy-footwork, and tap tricks.

What shoes do I wear?
Students must wear flat tap shoes (no high heels or character shoes) in any color. We recommend any Bloch brand tap shoes. Students should stay away from “split sole” tap shoes or “flex” tap shoes. These shoes do not have support and are not good for beginners. Please make sure it is a quality tap shoe – cheap shoes will not only damage our floors, but also be uncomfortable to wear.
