WORD OF MOUTH: Real People. Real Stories
BCP’s popular storytelling series is back for Fall 2019 with monthly storytelling performances, workshops and story slams.
Whether you’ve been “just-listening” to our Word of Mouth series since 2017 or are itching to get up onstage the first time, our fall 2019 line-up has something for you. Join us for the perfect cozy night out to hear real stories told by real people, or to tell one yourself.
See you at Lambertville Hall!
Our monthly Word of Mouth performance series feature an evening of stories told by some of the best storytellers from NYC, NJ, and PA’s most popular storytelling shows, including The Moth, The Liar Show, R!SK, Cake, Out by Ten and many more. Performed onstage in Lambertville Hall’s intimate cabaret setting, this season’s story themes will take us from the dwindling days of summer all the way through the darkest night of the year.
Single tickets to Word of Mouth shows are available for purchase.
WORD OF MOUTH
For the brave raconteurs considering putting their name into the hat for a chance to tell their story at one of our upcoming fall story slams, or if you would love to hone your storytelling skills–we’re offering two storytelling workshops taught by acclaimed storyteller Michaela Murphy. Workshop attendees should bring a five-minute story or an idea for a five-minute story to work on during this class.
Sign up for one workshop or both with a two-workshop package!
WORD OF MOUTH
Story Slams bring our Word of Mouth audience and community together to tell real stories or to hear and cheer our friends and neighbors as they share true tales from their own storied lives.
This interactive show features 10 brave aspirant storytellers and their theme-based 5-minute stories. The storyteller puts their name into a “hat,” waits until the host selects their name, and then gets up onstage to slam their story. Three judging teams, selected from the audience, are on hand to help determine the slam winner.
