Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) are available for patrons who are hard of hearing to assist with amplification and clarity of the performance. Headsets and devices, cleaned between each performance, may be obtained from the box office. You will be asked to leave a form of identification as a deposit when you pick up the device.

If you wish to use your own headset with our devices, you may bring a pair of standard wired headphones and our front-of-house team will be happy to provide you with a device.

Wheelchair Seating

Several wheelchair and companion seats are available. Wheelchair locations are Row C – Seat 5 and Row E – Seat 6. Accessible and companion seating is located at the front of the house on both the right and left sides of the house. These sections are designated for wheelchair users or patrons with other mobility disabilities and their companions.

Wheelchair Spaces do not have a physical seat. We can provide a folding chair for patrons who wish to transfer out of their wheelchair, or for those who require a chair without arms.

Patrons who transfer from their wheelchairs or mobility devices will be able to have their chair or device stored with house management for the duration of the performance; ushers will be available to assist patrons in retrieving their chair or device.

Accessible Parking

In accordance with ADA regulations, we offer accessible parking at the same daily rate as non-accessible parking in the Playhouse lot. The Playhouse also offers valet parking with a drop off zone as close to theater as possible, for when ADA spaces are in use. We recommend patrons using wheelchairs or mobility aides to utilize this drop-off zone to disembark their vehicles for faster entry into the building.

Entry and Navigation

By using the lower lobby doors, or by entering through the Playhouse Deck restaurant, there are no steps required to reach any row in the theater. There is an elevator on the Delaware River Promenade that takes patrons to the Playhouse Deck Restaurant. A ramp is available at the front of the theatre and the lower lobby doors offer easy access to the auditorium.
