Bill Harris & Jay Manas Playhouse Barn Event & Live Performance Venue
Located directly in front of Bucks County Playhouse, the historically named, Parry Barn, is recorded to be one of the oldest structures in New Hope dating back to 1790, and part of the original property of the founding family of New Hope, the Parry Family.
After undergoing renovations with the intention to keep the historic aspects of the building, the Bill Harris & Jay Manas Playhouse Barn finally opened in Fall 2023. The venue is the newest expansion of Bucks County Playhouse being offered as a space for cabaret performances, educational programming, and available to rent for events.
Max Venue Capacity: 90 (capacity varies based on event needs and desired floor plan)
The downstairs space features:
- Wood-burning fireplace
- Access to an outdoor garden with seating
- Prep kitchen: equipped with a refrigerator, coffee maker, ice maker, prep counters, trash and recycling cans, trash bags, three compartment sink
- Three restrooms including one ADA accessible.

The downstairs is a versatile space for rehearsal dinners, fundraisers, performances, etc.
The upstairs space features:
- Exposed wood beams
- Balcony overlooking the downstairs
- 65″ built-in monitor with HDMI connection
Host a corporate meeting or intimate dinner or cocktail hour in this space.
Includes refrigerator, coffee maker, ice maker, prep counters, trash and recycling cans, trash bags, three compartment sink. Disclaimer – there is no in-house oven. Any gas appliances are prohibited inside the building. Electric appliances like toaster ovens and microwaves are allowed but need to be approved.

Playhouse Deck catering is subject to availability. It is the renter’s responsibility to coordinate their own catering if Playhouse Deck is unavailable. Kindly consider choosing one of our preferred caterers. Any other outside caterers must provide a certificate of insurance and sign our caterer agreement.
Any additional rentals will be the renter’s responsibility to acquire. Please coordinate load-in and load-out with the Event Sales Manager.
Alcohol must be provided by Playhouse Deck Restaurant & Bar. There are multiple bar packages available. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.
The prep catering space is used for prep only. Due to the historic nature of the building, this is not a full kitchen and the use of a gas stove or oven in the space is prohibited.
